She’s lived in Tarzana since the 1950s and grew up in the house across the street from the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs, author of the “Tarzan the Ape Man” and namesake of the Tarzana community. Her first job was on a paper route alongside mostly adolescent boys, who tossed the local paper from their bicycles.
