Together, we’re changing lives in San Fernando Valley.

Babies are saved
Pam Kessler’s baby was sick all night. When he began throwing up blood the next day, she rushed him to Providence Tarzana. Diagnosed with an intestinal blockage, her son immediately went into surgery.
Peter began showing COVID-19 symptoms a week after a brunch. What seemed like a head cold quickly progressed to bouts of shaking. In the hospital, he was one step away from going on a ventilator.
Pam Kessler’s baby was sick all night. When he began throwing up blood the next day, she rushed him Providence Tarzana. Diagnosed with an intestinal blockage, her son immediately went into surgery. Dr. Shaul, the surgeon, emerged at 1:30 AM from the OR to tell Pam the surgery had been successful and that her son had a wonderful prognosis.
Peter began showing COVID-19 symptoms a week after a brunch. What seemed like a head cold quickly progressed to bouts of shaking. In the hospital, he was one step away from going on ventilator. Finally, during his second week in isolation care, Peter’s condition began to improve. “I couldn’t have hoped for better care,” he says.
“If you live in the Valley, you need to support the Valley.” Karl Boeckmann is firm in that belief — and he does a lot to live up to his word, including charitable gift annuities to Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.
You are part of something much bigger than providing medical care. We’re an entire community devoted to transforming lives, one sacred encounter at a time. Please share your experience.
“I couldn’t have hoped for better care,
or for more detailed explanations about my condition and the treatments I was receiving. I was also grateful that the hospital had all the medical technology I needed.”
— Peter Saphier, COVID patient
