Transforming Tiny Lives

At Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, we’re proud to offer our community a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – the highest level of neonatal care available in the San Fernando Valley, certified by California Children’s Services. Everyone deserves access to world-class health, especially newborns requiring extra help at birth make a healthy start in life. Our NICU provides the most advanced and highly specialized care for critically ill babies regardless of birth weight, gestational age or place of birth. By working closely with each parent and creating a supportive and compassionate environment, our neonatal team provides some of the most advanced equipment and strategies of care available today for diagnosing and treating critically ill newborns.

Music Therapy Program
Our donor supported NICU Music Therapy Program helps ease the way for patients and their families – offering comfort, connection and developmental support through the healing power of music, led by our board-certified music therapists.
AngelEye Health CameraSystem™
The AngelEye Health CameraSystem™ was carefully selected to bridge the gap between families and their newborns undergoing critical care, regardless of distance. Placed at the baby's bedside, these state-of-the-art cameras allow loved ones to live-stream video of their infants anytime, anywhere and on any device. Through a secure online portal, parents can now watch over their little ones and receive one way patient updates from our clinical staff. This innovative system will significantly reduce stress and anxiety for parents, while also fostering bonding opportunities with their child. By enabling better communication between caregivers and families, this camera system will enhance the overall experience for everyone involved.
State-of-the-art Incubators
Our NICU features innovative and high-tech bassinets called Giraffes. The Giraffe significantly reduces the need to transfer infants because it can be used as an open table warmer and converted into an incubator/isolette at the touch of a button.
