As Director/CFO of the Bob and Nita Hirsch Family Foundation, she’s in charge of family giving, as well as being involved with several other Boards, including the Skirball Cultural Center, and the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission.

Susan and her husband Alan have 3 adult children.

What motivates your desire to give back?

To me, it’s a privilege and an honor, and has always been part of my life. I’m very lucky to be in the position I am and am forever grateful to my parents.

Why are you supporting the medical center?  

Supporting the Medical Center means helping our community with the power of Medicine and brilliant Doctors who provide that care and treatment. 

It means being part of the newer and improved Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, where all patients will receive the best care and services available in the City or Valley.   

It’s where I gave birth to both my boys, and all of our family doctors are a part of.

Why did you agree to join the foundation board?

Once I heard about the hospital’s plans through other Board members, I felt a calling to join the campaign. It’s such an important group of structures for the Valley, affording us the opportunity to seek Doctors of the highest caliber, with individualized care provided in very impressive facilities for treatment of horrible and unpleasant diseases and/or pain.
