He’s the founding chair of the Sierra Canyon School Board, served as Fire Commissioner for Los Angeles County for three years, and is a senior fellow in the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University.
Steve is also involved with several organizations, including the Young Presidents Organization, the American Jewish Committee, and New Majority Los Angeles. He’s a recipient of the Justice Armand Arabian Award and a member of several local chambers. He and his wife have four children.
What motivates your desire to give back?
If my life was just about earning a living and never doing anything for my community, it wouldn’t be nearly as fulfilling.
Why are you supporting the medical center?
The adage that says, “You have nothing without your health.” If we don’t have a world-class medical center, we are not likely to sustain our health.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
The more I have an opportunity to meet the physicians, nurses, and dedicated hospital personnel, the more I feel privileged to be part of the hospital family.
