He and his wife Flo have been married for almost 60 years. They have three sons and eight grandchildren.

What motivates your desire to give back?

My parents were very philanthropic. I learned from them the value of helping others. It was important my wife and I pass this valuable trait on to our sons and grandchildren.

Why are you supporting the medical center? 

It is imperative to have exceptional healthcare in the San Fernando Valley. Two of my sons and a few of my grandchildren were born at Tarzana. Both my wife and I have spent time in the hospital and received first-rate care.

Why did you agree to join the foundation board?

My physician recommended that I become involved in the medical center. I joined the Providence Tarzana Board of Governors and am proud of what we have been able to accomplish.
