Currently, Marty’s company and subsidiary, WilMar Ground Meat, provide a million pounds of ground beef per week to retailers, food service companies, and restaurant distributors in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Marty serves as Chairman of the Board of the North America Meat Association and is the 2014 recipient of the Richard Knowlton Award. He also sits on the College of Agriculture Dean’s Council and supports an endowed scholarship for undergraduate animal science students who demonstrate financial need.

Marty and his wife, Carol, have four grown children and eight grandchildren.

What motivates your desire to give back?

Giving back to the community helps return the support the community has given me as a business owner.

Why are you supporting the medical center?  

The medical center provides essential services to my family and my employees.
