Karl has worked at Galpin Ford since 1965 and is currently Vice President of the company.  He’s been involved in a number of civic and charitable groups, including serving on the board at Goodwill Industries, NDY and the Fernando Foundation.

He lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Thyra. 

What motivates your desire to give back?

I was always taught to be honest, work hard, help others and care for those who were less fortunate.    

Why are you supporting the medical center?  

I’ve been impressed by the dedication and efficiency of all the employees that I’ve met at Tarzana and the work that they perform. 

Why did you agree to join the foundation board?

I was one of the first people nominated to the board when Tarzana first became a non-profit. It’s been 11 years and I’ve been very pleased with my time here and what we as a Board have accomplished.
